& STUDIO APPAREL

All students participating in the recital are required to purchase a costume for each class routine. Costume pricing is set individually by class and reflects the style, vendor, and sizing needs of each group. We’ve worked diligently to keep pricing fair and consistent while accounting for increased material costs, shipping fees, and the level of quality needed for our dancers to look and feel their best on stage.

Measurements take place in November and costume orders are placed over the holidays. Dancers will receive their costumes March—April, just in time for recital picture day in early April!

Payment Options

Families may pay in full by ther first due date or divide their total costume balance into three equal payments.

1st Payment:
September 26, 2025

2nd Payment:
October 24, 2025

Final Payment:
November 21, 2025

All payments must be submitted manually through the Parent Portal. Costume fees are not auto-drafted.

Important Reminders

  • Families paying in full must submit payment by September 26.

  • A $25 late fee per costume will be applied to any missed payment deadline.

  • Costume fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, even if a student withdraws or is dismissed from the program.

Starr’s Costume Care

To keep costumes stage-ready, please follow these important deadlines:

Do not wash, iron, or steam costumes — delicate fabrics and embellishments can be damaged. Do not wear costumes before recital day. No social media posts of costumes are allowed until after the performance. Handle all items with care — lost or damaged pieces, including accesories and headpieces, are not replaceable. If your costume includes a tutu, hang it upside down in an open space so wrinkles can fall our naturally.

Required Tights & Shoes:

All dancers must wear camel convertible tights and the correct shoes per class. Ballet students will need ballet pink shoes. Jazz students should wear tan jazz shoes. Tap students must wear tan tap shoes with a Velcro buckle. Sneaker information for hip-hop will be shared soon.

Required tights and shoes can be ordered through your Parent Portal or here during our two annual ordering windows — once at the start of the season and again before recital. Our first ordering window is now until August 14th!

STUDIO PERFORMACE APPAREL (Required)

These items are worn at all community and seasonal performances. Orders must be submitted manually through the parent portal by the posted deadline. Late orders will not be accepted, and additional inventory will not be available.

Youth T-Shirt: $25
Adult T-Shirt: $30 (Add $6 for XL and up)
Youth Sweatshirt: $35
Adult Sweatshirt: $40 (Add $6 for XL and up)

Short sleeve t-shirts are required for all Spring performances and the sweetheart showcase. Sweatshirts are required for Winter events, including the Christmas parade.
