Hip Hop Flip Flop

Ages 5-8
Mondays 5:50-6:50

Hip Hop Flip Flop is a high-energy class that introduces dancers to beginner hip-hop technique with a bold, age-appropriate style. This class blends classic hip-hop grooves with introductory tricks, stalls, and grounded movement—giving young dancers the chance to learn isolations, gliding, floor freezes, and directional footwork in a fun and supportive environment.

Using clean, hard-hitting beats and hip-hop-inspired tracks, students train in rhythm, body control, and freestyle foundations while building strength, confidence, and musicality. Classes alternate between upright movement and floor-based drills, allowing dancers to safely explore foundational styles like bouncing, popping, locking, and more through structured skill combination choreography.

Dancers will perform a high-energy hip-hop routine in the year-end showcase, featuring both footwork and trick elements developed throughout the season.

Required Shoes: Lightweight sneakers with a flexible sole. We recommend Converse Chuck Taylors or Vans-style sneakers for comfort and movement support. Parents are responsible for purchasing hip-hop shoes separately.
