Musical Theater

Ages 5+
Wednesdays 4:30-5:30PM

Musical Theater introduces students to the world of Broadway through storytelling, character work, and expressive movement. Dancers begin developing triple-threat skills as they learn to sing, dance, and act in a fun, structured ensemble setting that uses props, staging, and levels to bring each performance to life.

This high-energy class fuses multiple dance styles—jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, and even tap—while teaching children how to interpret plot, setting, character, dialogue, and theme through choreography and theatrical staging.

Students are introduced to basic theater etiquette, stage directions, and age-appropriate Broadway history. Through acting games, light script work, and character-building activities, they’ll gain the confidence to step into any role. While formal vocal training is not offered, light classroom singing and musical phrasing are part of the learning experience.

Musical Theater students will take the spotlight performing a fully staged, character-driven routine in our end-of-year showcase that highlights their theatrical growth, storytelling ability, and ensemble performance skills.
